Library clients stand to benefit from a 13 hour manned Enquiries Desk. The Enquiries Desk is the clients' first pot of call for many issues surrounding the world of information. The desk handles general to specific clients' requests and is also a good referral point to various Library products, services and staff.
A Multimedia Suite is available to individuals and, or groups (including lectures) for viewing or listening to various educational programming. The Multimedia Suite hosts a Digital Satellite Television (DStv), Educational DVDs, CD ROMs, video and audio cassettes and an Intensive English laboratory.
All photocopying made from books or periodicals belonging to Africa University Library or obtained through Inter-Library Loan is subject to the international 'fair copying' declaration. The Copyright Act and Neighbouring Rights Act is available in the Library for the guidance of clients.
The Library is heavily involved in outreach activities to reach out to needy communities in the provision of information. The Library Outreach aims to develop school, community and other non-profit making libraries mainly in Manicaland and all United Methodist Church School / Tertiary Libraries in Zimbabwe. Library Outreach involves donating library educational resources and imparting librarianship skills to librarians that manage these resources. Libraries that benefit from the Outreach Programme are those that apply (in writing) to the University Librarian.
